A distinguished and sculptural set of six Danish mid-century teak dining chairs produced by Boltinge Stolefabrik.
The chairs are immediately striking from any angle. The tall, architectural ladder back features two slender vertical uprights that taper elegantly to rounded tips, between which a series of almond-shaped — or "eye" — cutouts create a rhythmic, almost calligraphic pattern of extraordinary visual refinement. Below, the base is equally expressive: a sculpted, organically curved seat frame and stretcher assembly with beautifully resolved junctions that demonstrate the high level of cabinetmaking Boltinge consistently delivered. The flowing grain of the teak reads magnificently across the entire set.
The seats have been newly reupholstered in a beige faux leather — clean, practical, and in keeping with the warm tones of the teak frames.
