This large pine dining table, or conference table, was made by a Danish cabinetmaker in the 1980s. The rectangular top is built from wide pine boards, running full length with visible knots and a pronounced straight grain. Four round brass inlays are set into the surface, flush with the wood.
The table stands on four substantial square-cut legs, joined to the frame with exposed through-tenon joinery visible at the top of each leg. Construction throughout is heavy and straightforward, with no attempt to disguise the joinery.
The pine has aged to a warm honey tone, with scattered surface marks and nail holes consistent with continuous use. Generous in scale, this table suits a dining room or a larger meeting space alike.
