Danish mid-century display cabinet in solid oak, made by a cabinetmaker circa 1950s. The substantial two-part composition combines a glazed upper cabinet with two wide drawers below, supported by shaped legs joined with long stretchers.
The oak has a warm golden tone with particularly expressive grain across the broad top and framed doors. Each door incorporates four glass panes divided by lead cames, while dark metal escutcheons, a decorative key and ring drawer pulls provide a strong contrast to the pale timber. Inside, a full-width shelf divides the display space. Traditional details continue through the gently shaped apron, carved legs and small block-like decoration beneath the cornice.
The combination of robust proportions, visible oak grain and restrained ornament gives the cabinet a warm architectural presence.
