A rare and sculptural set of six Danish Brutalist oak dining chairs by Henning Kjærnulf (Henry Kjaernulf) for EG Kvalitetsmøbel (EG Møbler) — one of the most sought-after names in mid-century Scandinavian furniture — newly reupholstered in a beige bouclé that perfectly complements the warm, honey-toned solid oak frames.
This model — less widely seen than the celebrated "Razorblade" but equally characteristic of Kjærnulf's singular design language — features three sweeping, wave-form carved back slats that ripple between the uprights with a fluid, almost calligraphic energy, crowned by a broader sculptural top rail. Together they create a back that is organic, visually arresting, and unmistakably Kjærnulf. The scalloped seat apron and the faceted, turned front legs further demonstrate his mastery of fusing Baroque decorative craft with mid-century structural directness. Every element is carved from solid, beautifully grained quarter-sawn oak throughout.
The seats carry new beige bouclé upholstery, professionally applied and in excellent unworn condition — a current, high-demand textile that makes this set ready to place immediately.
