This sideboard is Danish production in light oak, dating from the 1970s.
The case holds four drawers above four cupboard doors. Each door is fitted with a raised panel and a small forged iron ring pull. Drawer fronts carry twisted iron bail handles.
The case stands on turned, baluster-style legs, joined by stretchers. A scalloped apron runs along the front, carved in a leaf and scroll motif. The top edge carries a shallow carved fan border, echoed at each corner.
Oak grain is open and figured throughout, with a light, even tone consistent with a bleached or limed finish. Interior shelving is adjustable behind both sets of doors.
A substantial, well-proportioned piece, equally suited to a country, traditional or eclectic dining space.
