Danish chest of drawers in oak from the 1960s, designed with four broad drawers and a warm, strongly figured surface. The rectangular case is raised on shaped legs and finished with a gently scalloped apron, giving the otherwise substantial form a lighter, decorative character.
Each drawer has a pair of dark metal handles with twisted detailing, contrasting neatly with the pale oak. Visible dovetail joints at the drawer corners add a precise construction detail, while moulded edges frame the drawer fronts and emphasize the horizontal proportions.
With its expressive grain, decorative base and generous storage, the chest works particularly well in Scandinavian and Mid-Century Modern interiors, as well as more rustic vintage settings.
