This set of three nesting tables is by Henning Kjærnulf, produced in Denmark during the 1960s.
Each table is topped in solid oak, graduating in size so the smaller two slide fully beneath the largest.
The aprons are cut with a shallow scalloped edge, and the tapered legs are shaped with a soft, waisted profile rather than left plain, giving the set a more sculptural cabinetmaking character than the standard nesting table.
Straight stretchers join the legs low to the ground, bracing each table independently.
The oak has a warm, straight grain with a light honey tone, and the shaping to the legs and aprons is clean and consistent throughout.
Practical as a set of three, or usable individually as small side tables.
