A Danish oak sideboard credenza by Henning Kjærnulf, produced in Denmark during the 1960s. Constructed throughout in pale, limed oak with pronounced ray figuring — doors, carcass, and top all executed from the same well-selected material. Four doors, each framed with a flat panel and recessed reeded insert, are fitted with original black wrought iron diamond-form keyhole escutcheons — the key itself serving as the pull, a restrained and purposeful detail. The ends of the case carry substantial forged iron drop-bail handles, faceted and hand-worked, presenting the piece's most overtly brutalist accent. The overhanging top is secured to the frame with exposed square-cut oak joinery pegs — cleanly projecting and structural in character. Interior fitted with adjustable shelves across three sections and a bank of three pull-out flatware trays to the left. Straight, robust square legs with a slight shouldered cut at the apron joint carry the case solidly off the floor. Generous in scale and honest throughout.
