Danish sideboard in bleached solid oak, likely produced by a Danish cabinetmaker, 1960s. Four fielded doors open to two full-width interior sections, each fitted with an adjustable shelf and lined in a darker oak-toned veneer.
The door panels are carved with a wave-topped, fluted motif recalling linenfold panelling, framed by reeded stiles. Two long drawers sit below, lined in green felt and fitted with cast brass swan-form handles; the doors carry matching brass escutcheons, one retaining its original key. The case stands on block-turned, tapered legs joined by a shallow scalloped apron, with a moulded edge to the solid oak top.
The carved detailing and brass fittings place the piece within a Danish Rococo Revival tradition, while its scale and case proportions sit comfortably within a broader Scandinavian dining or hallway setting. A substantial and well-preserved example.
